Seminar: Finding and Working with Census and Survey Data on China

In this seminar, Emma Zang will present research led by Professor Zeng Yi on the study of healthy aging. Their research uses county/city level data available from the database of China Geo-explorer and their own Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey data, which won American Journal of Public Health best paper award in 2012. Dr. Shuming Bao from University of Michigan’s China Data Center will introduce key features of this database; and Luo Zhou, Chinese studies librarian, will give a live demo of this database.
