The Carolina Asia Center has received $1.06 million in funding for Foreign Language and Area Studies grants, which allow us to support undergraduate and graduate students studying Asian languages and area studies.
I’m thrilled to announce that the Carolina Asia Center has been awarded funding from the U.S Department of Education to be a Title VI National Resource Center for the Study of Asia, the first in the southeastern U.S.
The Carolina Asia Center has been engaged in a strategic planning process over the past three months that will hopefully result in a clearer articulation of our goals and how they are supported by our programs.
