Research Affiliates
This program is geared toward local scholars who are working on Asia and interested in collaborating with UNC-Chapel Hill. The Carolina Asia Center provides access to library resource materials at UNC for such scholars to conduct Asia-related research.
To apply, you must be a scholar with a Ph.D. or in at least your 3rd year of doctoral studies. UNC requires you to identify a UNC faculty member and department that you will be collaborating with, and to explain that you will be working on UNC faculty driven research. Preference is given to scholars who currently hold a teaching position. The term limit for the research affiliate status is 5 years.
