I’m thrilled to announce that the Carolina Asia Center has been awarded funding from the U.S Department of Education to be a Title VI National Resource Center for the Study of Asia, the first in the southeastern U.S.

This edition of Asia Connections features UNC students’ study abroad experiences in Asia.

With internationalization firmly on the University’s agenda, links with Asia seem to be expanding exponentially. The significance of internationalization was emphasized with the official opening of the FedEx Global Education Center on October 12.
