Visiting Scholar Program
School of Education
The School of Education at UNC-Chapel Hill invites scholars from all over the world to come to North Carolina for research or graduate studies in order to foster intellectual exchange and academic collaboration in research and teaching on an international level. International Visiting Scholars are an important part of the academic life in the School of Education and contribute to its focus on international collaboration and globalizing the curriculum.
Visiting Scholars may be university professors, active professionals, post-doctoral students, or senior-level doctoral students. They are not funded by the School of Education but may be funded via competitive grant programs in their home country, competitive U.S. grant programs (e.g., Fulbright Program), or grants from private organizations.
Visiting Scholars may be invited by a professor at the School of Education with whom they share academic interests and who will be their sponsor at UNC. They may also come without having a prior relationship with the School of Education and sign up for a Visiting Scholar Program.
