Transnational Asia & Asian-American Studies

The Carolina Asia Center supports and celebrates the work of faculty and students in Transnational Asian and Asian-American Studies, recognizing that “Asia” is no longer a geographically distant and discrete place, culture, or group of peoples. As demonstrated by new developments in academia, such as the founding of the journal Verge by scholars of both Asian and Asian-American Studies, the time is ripe for collaborative work between those in these deeply related but long separate fields.
