US-Asia Relations under the Biden Administration
March 22, 2021 @ 8:00 pm - 9:15 pm
With each new presidential administration, America’s policy position on Asia shifts even while many of the challenges remain.
This panel will discuss the prospects for US relations with two key parts of Asia under the new Biden administration. Our external experts will be:
- Kyle Ferrier (Fellow and Director of Academic Affairs at the Korean Economic Institute in America), speaking on US-Korea relations, and
- Evan A. Laksmana (Senior Researcher with the Centre for Strategic and International Studies of Jakarta, Indonesia), speaking on US-Southeast Asia relations
As moderator and providing a broad comparative view, Prof. Patricia L. Sullivan of UNC Public Policy will join the panel.
This event is co-sponsored by UNC Public Policy & Triangle Institute for Security Studies
