William D. Weir Honors Fellowship in Asian Studies 10th Anniversary Celebration presents Jeffrey A. Bader, John C. Whitehead Senior Fellow in International Diplomacy, John L. Thornton China Center, The Brookings Institute

From 2009 until 2011, Jeffrey A. Bader was special assistant to the president of the United States for national security affairs at the National Security Council. In this capacity, he was the principal advisor to President Obama on Asia. Bader served  from 2005 to 2009 as the director of the China Initiative and, subsequently, as the first director of the John. L. Thornton China Center at Brookings. He will lead a talk about where China is headed and how the U.S. should respond. Learn more about Jeffrey A. Bader here. The talk is free and open to the public but an RSVP is kindly requested.
