The 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games: A First-Time Visit to Asia

UNC Assistant Professor Jonathan Jensen, a recipient of the Carolina Asia Center’s Cox Travel Grant, shares details of his academic, cultural, and professional experiences during his trip to South Korea for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games.

Jonathan Jensen is Assistant Professor of Sport Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Jensen’s research focuses on the dynamics of sport marketing relationships, such as the interrelations between sport organizations and the brands that sponsor them, and how their collaborations influence consumers. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Sport Management, Journal of Advertising Research, Sport Marketing Quarterly, Marketing Letters, Business Horizons, and the Journal of Consumer Marketing and featured by media outlets such as USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, AdWeek, Chicago Tribune, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Portland Business Journal, Columbus Dispatch, The Baltimore Sun, and the WGN Morning News.
