Sansei and Sensibility with Karen Tei Yamashita

Author and professor emerita Dr. Karen Tei Yamashita will be discussing her book Sansei and Sensibility, recounting her love of Jane Austen and her experiences as a third-generation Japanese American. This event will be followed by a live Q&A with the author.
This event is run by Jane Austen & Co, a free public Zoom series focused on the life, histories, and writings of women living in the Regency era., and co-sponsored by the Carolina Asia Center. This year’s series from Jane Austen & Co is “Asia & the Regency,” which will look at topics across East and South Asia in connection with the literature of Jane Austen and the global influences on Jane Austen’s Britain.
