Presented by the Department of Romance Studies in collaboration with the Center for European Studies, the Department of Asian Studies and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Free and open to the public. Movies in French with English subtitles. Doors at 6:00 p.m., films at 6:30 p.m.
Les Contes de la nuit (Tales of the Night)
This collection of six fairy tales is rendered in a “shadow puppet style,” with silhouetted characters set against gorgeously colored backgrounds representing Africa, the Caribbean, medieval Europe, an Aztec kingdom, Tibet, and the Land of the Dead.
