Korean Film Night: Dust-Man

November 11, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join the Korean Studies Program, the Carolina Asia Center, and the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies for a film screening of a contemporary Korean film: Dust-Man (2021).

Here is a summary of the movie:
Taysan, a young homeless man who sleeps outside Seoul Station, encounters an art student named Moa as she meticulously paints a mural that she knows will not remain long on the wall. Intrigued by the idea of “fleeting art,” Taysan begins to draw beautiful illustrations on dusty cars and windows.
With the huge public response to his dust art coupled with Moa’s positive energy, Taysan gradually regains a sense of self worth and courage to face his wounded heart.

This event is free and open to the public.
