Henna in the Pit
September 25, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Your favorite henna artists will be out in the Pit this Friday! Come see us, get some amazing temporary tattoos, and support our colony.
We can do a variety of designs. You can choose from our booklets or we can do a design you pull up on your phone. We’ve been practicing 😉
Designs will only be $1-$5! All proceeds will go to Delta Phi Omega Sorority, Inc.
So everyone please enjoy the last bit of summer weather and get a baller tattoo to show off!
A little history about Henna:
Henna has been used to adorn young women’s bodies as part of social and holiday celebrations since the late Bronze Age. Henna was regarded as having Barakah (“blessings”) and was applied for luck as well as joy and beauty. In India, as a part of Hindu and Sikh religions, henna is applied during wedding ceremonies. Traditionally it is thought that the darker the henna on the bride’s hand, the more intensely her husband will love her.
