*CANCELLED* Crossing the Boundaries: A Talk with Xia Jia on Chinese Science Fiction

Please join us for a presentation by Chinese Science Fiction Writer Xia Jia 夏笳, penname of Prof. Yao Wang 王瑶, about her experiences as a scholar and author of science fiction.

Prof Wang is an Associate Professor of Chinese Literature at Xi’an Jiaotong University and a visiting scholar at the University of California, Riverside from 2018-2019. She is a seven-time winner of the Galaxy award, China’s most prestigious science fiction award. Her first English-language collection, A Summer Beyond Your Reach: Stories, is forthcoming.
