Asian Americans and Latinx: Election 2016 and Beyond

November 18, 2016 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Join professors María DeGuzmán and Heidi Kim for a discussion of Latinx and Asian American voting trends, exit polling, civic engagement, and activism. Both groups were discussed as blocks in the electorate but are highly diverse in terms of ethnicity, national origin, linguistic/cultural affiliation, religion, etc. Likewise, both have historically had relatively low rates of voter turnout. Their conversation will look at some of the common concerns and drivers of voting trends and political affiliation within these groups.
