This program is geared toward local scholars who are working on Asia and interested in collaborating with UNC-Chapel Hill. The Carolina Asia Center provides access to library resource materials at UNC for such scholars to conduct Asia-related research. The center charges a fee of $100 to scholars working at a UNC system school or an HBCU in North Carolina. For others, $200 is charged to conduct the necessary paperwork to issue a UNC OneCard that provides access to the library and other facilities.

To apply, you must be a scholar with a Ph.D. or in at least your 3rd year of doctoral studies. Preference is given to scholars who currently hold a teaching position.

Please send your curriculum vitae and a cover letter to Mary Lagdameo, Associate Director of the Carolina Asia Center, at
