Southeast Asian Approaches is a faculty working group that increases the visibility of Southeast Asian studies at UNC and beyond. By providing a forum for scholars to discuss projects, ideas, and approaches in research and teaching, the working group supports collaboration in Southeast Asian studies across all disciplines. The group also sponsors public events in order to reach audiences on and off campus, invite student and community participation and engage discussions of broad relevance.

The group is supported by contributions from the Carolina Asia Center and Carolina Seminars, with additional funding for specific events from the Departments of GeographyAnthropologyReligious Studies, DAMES, and many others. For more information, contact SoutheastAsia@unc.edu.
