As was briefly mentioned in the last Asia Connections, with Arne Kalleberg in the Department of Sociology, the Carolina Asia Center was awarded an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Sawyer Seminar on the topic “Precarious Work in Asia.” The seminar will be in place until May 2012 and offers a variety of opportunities for Asia scholars at UNC.
